Your Black Friday, Christmas, Winter Sale Checklist
Share
It's approaching fast and I want to give you one more resource to get you completely prepared. Your Black Friday, Christmas, Winter Sale Checklist ✅
Before we get started, though, let's recap my last blog post:
- It's important to clean up your business's marketing world before you make all those big sales and get all those people flowing into your website, mailing list, and social media.
- You can set up your sales and stuff ahead of time, but try to clean everything before people start interacting with those sales.
- Cleaning your marketing means ensuring all links work, all info is up to date, etc.
- See more by reading my blog post.
- And, as always, if you need a hand getting things cleaned up, I'm your girl! Email me back and we can talk about how I will go through your marketing systems with a fine toothed comb.
Alright, on with the show... 🪄
Crafting your irresistible offer
I'll be honest, marketers say "irresistible offer" because of how amazing it sounds. Will your offer be truly irresistible? Not for everyone. And that's OK. But notice how that word irresistible made you feel. Your offer needs to feel like that for your customers, too.
Maybe it's your biggest deal of the year - the one time they can score something they've had their eye on for a steep discount.
Maybe it's an amazing package or bundle that will never be available again. Perhaps the package is at an unbelievable price point or maybe it's just so exclusive they won't want to miss the chance.
*Think back over your year and ask yourself, "What have customers (or people who didn't purchase) tell me they wanted that I didn't offer? Now is the time to make that happen.
Creating your sale assets
What do you need for your sale to be a success?
How will you get the word out to your customers?
Here are a few ways you might connect:
- Email campaigns
- Social media blasts
- Paid online ads
- Posting in local groups
- Flyers
- Signs in your shop
- Ads in local media
- DM campaigns
- Contests (these are usually best leading up to your sale. They help you get a bunch of new people into your sphere before you make your big offer)
In order to get the word out, you might need to create:
- Sales videos (ads)
- Scripted videos
- Visual posts
- Blog posts
- Email campaigns (strategically planned and executed)
- DM scripts
- Phone scripts
Organizing your big sales
When it comes to creating effective sales campaign workflows, the key is organization.
I don't care how amazing your offer is or how incredibly you frame that offer for your buyers - if you aren't well organized with your marketing plans, things are going to be hectic at best.
Start planning as early as you can and make sure you have a system to organize:
- Your offers
- Your assets (images, videos, email copy, etc.)
- Dates (when everything is happening and where it is happening)
- Your posts (pre-schedule these as much as possible)
*When it comes to dates, don't forget to make sure you turn things OFF as well. This means turning off pop ups on your website, changing your link in bio to no longer be your big offer, etc.
OK, that's a lot, am I right?!
But it is manageable if you get started early and approach it with a plan. Need help? You can always reach out! ❤️
Best of luck this holiday / big sale season!
